Palestinian Doctors' Union declared Tuesday a general strike across the West Bank hospitals and medical centers except in treatment centers of cancer, hemodialysis, and kidney patients, and emergency cases.
The strike has been declared in protest against the arrest of a doctor by PA forces after a woman and her fetus in his care died during childbirth in Rafidia Hospital several weeks ago, the union clarified in a statement issued Monday evening.
The strike will continue till releasing the detained doctor who is held without a court's order, the statement added.
